Medina Odd Fellows hold car show fundraiser

MEDINA — Classic cars, trucks and plenty of automotive enthusiasts gathered Sunday for the Medina Odd Fellows' first fundraising car and truck show. The event featured a variety of vehicles, from vintage trucks and classic cars to muscle cars, with many owners displaying their vehicles with hoods and trunks open for visitors to take a closer look. The fundraiser included food, music and awards for participants. Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics of Medina County and 42 other local charities, according to organizers. The event was part of the Medina Odd Fellows' ongoing charitable work in the community. The organization has supported local causes and nonprofits through fundraising and community service projects. Among the causes the group has supported are Special Olympics, Faith in Action, Project Learn, the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and other Medina County organizations. The Odd Fellows' fundraising efforts also have included events such as Christmas tree sales and other community activities. Sunday's car show brought together owners and visitors for an afternoon centered on classic and specialty vehicles while raising money for local causes. By late afternoon, vehicles remained lined up across the park as the event wound down, with attendees continuing to look over the cars and trucks on display.
