Golf roundup: Braedon Iacobacci stars for Brunswick

WOOSTER — Braedon Iacobacci finished second individually with a 4-over-par 76 to power the Brunswick boys golf team to finish third at the Generals Cup at Wooster Country Club on Monday. Liam Cooney backed Iacobacci with an 80 for the Blue Devils (327). Buckeye (346) was sixth behind Wyatt Kujat (80) and Michael Valus (81). Highland's 'B-team' (352) placed 10th behind Matthew Mamer's 86. In other events: Titan Invitational SYLVANIA — Trent Riedel fired a 2-over 74 to finish tied for third and lead Medina (325) to place fourth at this 10-team tournament hosted by St. John's Jesuit at Sylvania Country Club. Declan West and Kale Shockley-Macek each carded an 81 for the Bees. Bulldog Invitational SILVER LAKE — Hayden Hoyt turned in a 4-over 76 and Highland (225) took 11th out of 21 teams at this tournament at Silver Lake Country Club. Cooper Lutz backed Hoyt with an 80. John Brantley (82) led Wadsworth (15th, 343), which won a fifth-player tiebreaker with Riverside. Lorain County League Tournament AMHERST — Black River (185) finished fourth out of six teams behind Wade Mangan's 7-over 42 at Whiskyville Golf Club. Mangan was backed by Zane Kristophel (45), Skyler Kristophel (49) and Tyler Roberts (49). Cloverleaf 165, West Holmes 179 MEDINA TWP. — Gavin Jenkins led the Colts to this non-league victory at Bunker Hill Golf Course with a 3-over 39.
