Paula Bruce Sanchez

Paula Bruce Sanchez, 71, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, August 3, 2026. Paula was born February 4, 1955 in Lodi, Ohio, to her loving parents, Barton and Joyce Bruce. She grew up Westfield Center (formerly LeRoy). Paula graduated with a major in English from Heidelberg University which led to her love of book-reading and movies. She spent her professional career as a mortgage loan officer in Washington, D.C. and Florida. She married the love of her life, Jose Sanchez in 1989 and together they lived in many cities across Florida. After Jose's death in 2016 Paula moved from Florida to North Ridgeville and lived with her sister, Barb. Barb was not only Paula's housemate but also in the later years her caregiver, and most importantly one of her best friends. They shared a love of animals, especially dogs and cats. Paula will be deeply missed by her entire family. Paula leaves her dear siblings, Barb Alexander, and Rob Bruce (Karen); she was the loving aunt of Logan and Alex. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved, Jose.
