Golf: Malarkey ties for medalist at MAC Preseason Tournament

WADSWORTH TWP. — Cloverleaf standout Quinn Malarkey tied the Metro Athletic Conference Tournament record with a 2-over-par 74 Tuesday at the preseason tournament. The senior All-Gazette selection helped the Colts (376) finish second to MAC newcomer Roosevelt (331) at Pine Valley Golf Club. MacLaine Bell added a 93 for the 10-time defending conference champions.
