Aqua Master Disaster Response Team celebrates being in Brunswick with ribbon-cutting

BRUNSWICK — Aqua Master Disaster Response Team celebrated becoming part of the Brunswick community on Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance. Bob Houser is the president and CEO of the company. Previously, he worked as an executive in healthcare and medical device companies. "I saw two divergent shifts in which AI was taking not only jobs but long-term opportunities for people," he said. "I wanted to redevelop opportunities to train people and make sure they had jobs as humans continue to figure out what is our place in the world and what they need. I wanted to find something where we could really serve people in a meaningful way." Therefore, Houser recently switched industries. Aqua Master Disaster Response Team was founded in 2008, and Houser purchased the company last year and moved it to Brunswick. "(The previous owner) had a very good reputation, a great name, and we wanted to continue his legacy," he said. Houser said Aqua Master provides services such as emergency response to damage, protection and reconstruction. The company currently has six full-time employees and four teams of subcontractors. "We're a local company that responds to damage, and we also do other things," he said. "We fully reconstruct homes, and we can do everything from waterproofing to building pools. For anything having to do with water, in a good way or bad way, our company is there to serve the community." Aqua Master decided to come to Brunswick because it is a growing community with easy access to Interstate 71, Houser said. His company is also already involved with the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance. "If you want to be part of a community, you've got to walk the walk and talk the talk," he said. "This truly is one of the most unique chambers I've ever been involved with in my 50 years of life. It's very welcoming and embracing to make sure that everybody feels part of the community."
