Buckeye High School "50 Years and Beyond" luncheon The Buckeye High School "50 Years and Beyond" Alumni Association will have its annual luncheon on Aug. 12 at Vell's Event Center. The group is welcoming the 1976 graduating class this year. The cost is $40 per person. The deadline for reservations is Monday. Medina County students inducted into different honor societies at Baldwin Wallace The following local students were recently inducted into an honor society at Baldwin Wallace University: McKenzie Berg, a graduate of Brunswick High School who is majoring in psychology and criminal justice, was inducted into the social sciences honor society. Mia Fourtounis, of Hinckley, is majoring in engineering and was inducted into the mathematics honor society. Kaitlyn Junn, of Medina, is majoring in psychology and criminal justice and was inducted into the psychology honor society and sociology honor society. Lance Madak, a graduate of Buckeye High School who is majoring in creative writing, was inducted into the English honor society. Mackenzie Matasich, a graduate of Highland High School who is majoring in adolescent and young adult education and English integrated language arts, was inducted into the English honor society. Makenna Mincey, of Brunswick, is majoring in mathematics and accounting and was inducted into the mathematics honor society. Nicole Rawlins, a graduate of Medina Senior High School who is majoring in theatre acting and directing and psychology, was inducted into the social sciences honor society. Road closure in Medina West Washington Street will be closed between South Elmwood Avenue and South Court Street until 5 p.m. Thursday. The closure is associated with the new water service line installation for 120 West Washington St. One lane of traffic in the eastbound direction will be maintained at all times, but delays should be expected. Local access for all properties within the closure limits will be maintained at all times. The work zone will be set up and maintained throughout the closure period. The work is weather dependent, and the closure may be postponed if weather conditions dictate it.
