Medina County students of the year recognized by Kiwanis

MEDINA — The Kiwanis Club of Medina recognized recently graduated high school seniors from across the county for their achievement and character at an awards luncheon at Williams on the Lake on Thursday. Joan Samkow from Kiwanis said each high school in Medina County goes through its students of the month and then selects a student of the year. Each winner received an award and a scholarship, which the Feckley Foundation helped provide. The student of the year winners are as follows: Gabrielle Bright from Black River Grace Ruth from Brunswick Claire Miller from Buckeye Grace Friedhoff from Cloverleaf Ben Boggs from Highland Julianna Subotnik from Medina Christian Academy Sabrina Boyd from the Medina County Career Center Avery Henry from Medina Jacob Earnest from Wadsworth The following Medina students were also recognized for receiving a Key Club sponsored scholarship: Alex Gomez Brenna Koski Brooke Milewski Owen Stepsis Gabi Sunday Kelsey Swinko Emma Bostic from Buckeye, Marley Carter from Highland and Natalie Bair from Medina also received Kiwanis Club of Medina sponsored scholarships on Thursday. "Congratulations to all of today's scholarship recipients and honorees," Dale Weygandt from Kiwanis said. "Your service, your leadership and your willingness to step up make us proud and give us great hope for the future."
