Dancers, gymnasts, cheerleaders sought to perform at the 2026 Medina County Fair

MEDINA — More dancers and other types of performance groups are being sought to perform at this year's Medina County Fair to expand the entertainment options available. Ryan Rosinski is a professional dancer and choreographer who has been on "So You Think You Can Dance." He noticed that the Medina County Fair had not had dance performances for many years, so he helped bring the tradition back to the fairgrounds last year. "I brought out a lot of different groups from all around Northeast Ohio to perform from different studios," he said. Rosinski said he is the creator and director of the adult hip-hop dance team, and the senior squad dance team, which is one of the largest dance teams for people 50 and older in the country. Both groups performed in the pavilion at the fair in 2025. "Last year, it went great, but I would like to open it up," he said. "Last year, it was something new, so I kind of did all the booking myself from people that I knew. The city of Medina and cities of all surrounding areas, if they want to try it, they can definitely be involved." As a result, Rosinski is looking for groups who are interested in performing at this year's Medina County Fair to email him at ryansdance@live.com. "We're looking to have this be basically a dance portion of the Medina County Fair, but another new thing that I'm also open to is a gymnastics place that wants to come out and showcase maybe floor routines or different things that they do," he said. "If some locations do cheerleading, I'd be happy to have cheer teams come out." The 181st Medina County Fair will run Aug. 3-9 at 720 W. Smith Road in Medina. Rosinski said the dance performances are anticipated to happen midday on Aug. 8. "I just want to keep advancing that talent and entertainment at the Medina County Fair," he said.
