Brunswick seniors walk down memory lane at their elementary school ahead of graduation

BRUNSWICK — Brunswick High School seniors walked the hallways of their former elementary school one last time on Wednesday as they prepare to walk across the stage for their graduation. Seniors who attended Hickory Ridge Elementary School came back to the school dressed in their caps and gowns. Each student disclosed their plans to go to college, start a career or join the military in front of the current Hickory Ridge students. "As you heard, these students are doing a lot of different things after they graduate high school, which is very exciting," Principal Jamie Bailey said. "Anything you put your mind to, you can do." Seniors walked around Hickory Ridge's gymnasium as younger students clapped, cheered and gave high-fives. Brunswick's graduation is set to take place at 7 p.m. today at Brunswick Auto Mart Stadium. "Thank you very much for coming here to celebrate our seniors because they have made a very big journey since the last time they were here at Hickory Ridge," Bailey said. "It's awesome to see how far they've come."
