Thomas D. Turner

Thomas D. Turner, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 16, 2026. He was born November 4, 1936, in Lodi, Ohio, middle son to Harry and Marguerite Turner. Tom, a graduate of York High School, was a truck driver for Medina Supply many years until retirement and lived a quiet unassuming life. He worked hard throughout his life to be a good husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He loved music as he sang in many choirs for over 50 years, earned his private pilot's license, travelled to many states, and enjoyed gardening in his retirement years. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael; and his brothers, Bob and Mark. He is survived by his wife, Joan of over 69 years; his three remaining sons, Daniel (Michele-wife), Lyle (Margie-wife), and Timothy. He also loved his grandchildren, Kaylee and David (Dan), Hannah (Michael), Jonathan, Rosalie, Christopher, Catherine (Lyle and Margie), Dillon (Tim); and two great-grandchildren, Owen and Noah. He was cherished by family and friends and will be sorely missed. Calling hours are Friday, May 22nd 5 to 8 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 North Court Street, Medina, Ohio. Family will also receive friends Saturday, May 23rd from 10 to 11 a.m. with the Funeral Service immediately following at 11 a.m. at the Leroy United Methodist Church, 8 Park Circle, Westfield Center, Ohio.
