Gimma 'Sue' Bond

Gimma 'Sue' Bond, 62, born May 29, 1963 in Amherst, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2026 after a long battle with Transverse Myelitis. Sue was a graduate of Keystone High School, where she was a member of the chess club. She also attended the Lorain County JVS and excelled in the accounting program. A long-time resident of Medina County, Sue enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles with her husband, Jeff, and various craft hobbies. She was especially talented at woodburning, and candle making and often shared these talents with family and friends as gifts. Sue will be remembered for her quick wit, her wry sense of humor, and always having a book in her hand. She made friends easily, formed close bonds with her daughters' friends, and later grew especially close to several nurses and aides who cared for her. Her daughters were a constant source of pride, she often celebrated their achievements in academics and band, and in the lives they went on to create. She cherished her grandchildren and always looked forward to spending quality time with them. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Kennith and Fonda Sue Bond of Olive Hill, Kentucky; as well as her beloved sister and best friend, Lou Ann Bond. She is survived by her daughters, Taylor (Brandon) Elbon and Brianna (Jesse) Taylor; her grandchildren, Roxy, JT, and Ari; her former husband and dear friend, Jeff Jackson; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Felicia Bond; and several nieces and nephews. Sue's family extends a special thank you to the staff at Medina Meadows for their compassion and kindness during her time in their care. A Celebration of Life in Sue's honor will be held at a later date.
