Brunswick and Hinckley police blotter for April 16

Brunswick police Wednesday, April 8 8:44 a.m. — Skyview Drive; a man was issued a citation for criminal trespass. 4:42 p.m. — West 3rd Street; the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office contacted Brunswick police regarding a man in their jail. He had multiple warrants and was transported to the Medina County Jail without incident. Thursday, April 9 10:40 a.m. — Independence Drive; a man turned himself in on a warrant. Tuesday, April 14 5:43 p.m. — 1700 block of Pearl Road; police received a report of a woman going to restaurants and stealing to-go orders. An officer patrolled the area of Taco Bell where she had last been seen. She left Taco Bell and tried to avoid the officer when approached. She had a stolen Chipotle order inside a large purse. She was later identified and arrested for petty theft and possession of criminal tools. She was charged into Medina Municipal Court and incarcerated at the Medina County Jail. Hinckley police Tuesday, Jan. 20 11:47 a.m. — West 130th Street/Laurel Road; a vehicle was traveling through a construction zone when it struck a portable traffic light and left the scene. Wednesday, Jan. 21 11:00 a.m. — Center Road/State Road; a vehicle drove into a ditch before hitting a culvert. The vehicle then went over a driveway, struck a mailbox and drove into the ditch a second time. 4:33 p.m. — 2500 block of Center Road; a woman reported harassment. Thursday, Jan. 22 10:24 a.m. — Boston Road/Evergreen Trail; one vehicle rear-ended another on the icy road. The vehicle then ran off the road, struck a mailbox and drove into a ditch. 10:35 a.m. — Ridge Road/Bellus Road; one vehicle struck another after failing to yield. Friday, Jan. 23 12:32 p.m. — 1500 block of Center Road; information on a threat was requested. 9:29 p.m. — State Road; a transit vehicle was partially in a ditch, and it was towed.
