Medina County Historical Society open house The Medina County Historical Society will have an open house for both museums 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The John Smart House is at 206 N. Elmwood Ave. and the McDowell-Phillips House Museum is at 205 S. Prospect St. The History of Medicine in Medina County, featuring medical tools, a historic timeline and video interviews, is the new exhibit at the John Smart House Museum. The suggested donation is $5 for the John Smart House Museum. The cost for the McDowell-Phillips House Museum is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for youth ages seven to 17, and children under seven are free. Tours at the McDowell-Phillips House begin every 20 minutes starting at 1 p.m. Blake Avenue is being rebuilt, but the museum will be open. Private tours are available. Road closures in Medina County Abbeyville Road in Liverpool Township will be closed from Monday through Wednesday between East Law Road and Muntz Road for a culvert replacement. Granger Road will have the following road closures from Monday through Friday: On Monday and Tuesday, Granger Road will be closed north of the intersection of Nettleton Road and Granger Road and at the eastern extension of Granger Road between addresses 4430 Nettleton Road Granger Road to the north and 4440 Nettleton and Granger Road to the south. The closure is for a culvert replacement, and there will be no through traffic. On Wednesday through Friday, Granger Road will be closed during daytime hours, while crews are present between address 3000 Granger Road and 3094 Granger Road. Emergency service vehicles and buses will be permitted, but delays are possible.
