Chatham candidates' night Thursday There will be a candidates' night at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Chatham Township Community Center at 6306 Avon Lake Road. York Township Historical Society potluck dinner Friday York Township Historical Society is celebrating its 34th anniversary with a spring fling potluck dinner and bluegrass music provided by The Bear Pickins Band. The dinner will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the York Town Hall in Mallet Creek, which is at the intersection of state Route 18 and state Route 252. Guests are welcome and encouraged. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share, and beverages will be provided. Macaroni and cheese drive at the Medina County District Library Through the entirety of April, all Medina County District Library locations will collect macaroni and cheese boxes and cups for Feeding Medina County. Macaroni and cheese is included in all the weekender bags that are distributed to Medina County school children and to seniors who may not have the funds to buy food. Friends of the Wadsworth Public Library book sale The Friends of the Wadsworth Public Library will hold a book sale on the following dates and times: 5-8 p.m. Thursday is preview night. Participants may join at the door for $5 per person. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. 1-4 p.m. Sunday is a bag sale, where patrons can fill a bag for $5. There will be thousands of books, 70 percent of which are donated. Prices range from a quarter to around $3, and credit cards are accepted. The sale is held at the Wadsworth Public Library, and all proceeds will go to benefit the library.
