Joetta McClintock

Joetta McClintock (Swindle), a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 68, on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Joetta was the devoted mother of Emily (Bryan) Juan and the proud Nana to Aiden and Connor, who were her greatest joy and the light of her life. She also shared a special bond with her son-in-law, Bryan, whom she loved dearly and welcomed as one of her own. A woman of deep faith, Joetta was known for her kindness, incredible strength, and unwavering love for her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: from cooking and tending to her garden to sharing time and laughter with her two grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Joetta was also a devoted pet owner, and her dog, Lily was a constant companion and a true source of comfort. Joetta's love extended beyond her family, as she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Emily (Bryan) Juan; her grandsons, Aiden and Connor; siblings, James L. (Elaine) McClintock, Karen (Kevin) Schemrich, Millie McClintock, Bobbi (Chris) Suntala, and Judy (Lee) Mercer; 12 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and her fur baby, Lily. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Swindle; her parents, James and Sue McClintock; and her brothers, William and Daniel McClintock. A Celebration of Joetta's Life will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 6656 Center Rd., Valley City, Ohio. It will be a come-and-go gathering. Joetta's favorite color was green, let's celebrate that.
