Bethel Cleveland hosted its annual Easter Sunday egg hunt with 5,000 eggs.

BRUNSWICK — Two Easter egg hunts took place following morning church services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Bethel Cleveland, 197 N Carpenter Road in Brunswick. The celebration included complimentary doughnuts and gifts for first-time guests and immersive experiences for kids, in addition to the egg hunt. The egg hunt is held in an effort to engage families within the community. Pastor Todd Roberts said similar Easter egg hunts have been held for more than a decade in various forms and locations. Kids collected around 5,000 candy filled eggs in the back yard and patio of the church. "We've done this for going back probably 12 plus years. It's a great time, and we do it as an outreach, so anybody in the neighborhood that doesn't know about this can come," Roberts said. The church has been in the area for about 30 years and has hosted the Easter celebration and egg hunt as a way to connect with both regular attendees and new visitors. Guests are encouraged to "come as you are," to participate in both the services and post-service activities.
