Breakfast with the bunny at First Congregational Church of Akron UCC First Congregational Church of Akron United Church of Christ will host a breakfast with the bunny event 9-11 a.m. today at the church at 292 E. Market St. It is a free pancake breakfast featuring craft activities. Families are welcome to bring their camera to take pictures. The event is free and open to the public. TrueNorth spring concert The TrueNorth Chorale and Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Rick Fortney, will have a spring concert at 7:30 p.m. March 27 at Avon Lake Presbyterian Church at 32340 Electric Blvd. The concert will feature John Rutter's "Requiem." The "Requiem" is music based on sections of the Missa pro Defunctis, the Book of Common Prayer and the Psalms. The concert is open to all. There will be a free will offering to help offset costs. Zion Lutheran Church Passion Walk Zion Lutheran Church of Valley City will present its annual Passion Walk on March 28 and Palm Sunday. The Jerusalem marketplace opens at 6:15 p.m. While visitors wait for their walk to begin, they can experience some of the sights, sounds and culture of 30 A.D. The first group will leave at 6:15 p.m. and will walk from scene to scene in the church where they will witness the Last Supper, Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and his arrest, Peter's denial in the High Priest's courtyard, Jesus before Pilate, the crucifixion of Jesus and the sealed tomb. Almost 60 members of Zion will take part in the scenes, which will begin every 15 minutes from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 pm. The free event is fully handicapped accessible. Food insecurity event in Medina at St. Francis Xavier Marisa Wren from the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and St. Vincent de Paul President Rick Niese will share how people facing food insecurity are assisted by local donations and volunteer efforts on March 31 at St. Francis Xavier. A soup supper at 5:30 p.m. will precede the talk in the parish's Xavier Room at 612 E. Washington St. in Medina. Soup and bread will be provided at no charge.
