Medina High School basketball coaches speak at Medina Sunrise Rotary On Tuesday morning, the Medina High School girls and boys varsity basketball coaches joined the Medina Sunrise Rotary as guest speakers. Coach Karen Kase has led the Medina girls basketball program for 13 years. She talked about her journey to becoming a head coach while celebrating the program's achievements, including her milestone of 200 career wins. She also emphasized the importance of developing leadership in her players. Coach Chris Hassinger, a Medina coach for 32 years, brought along seniors from the boys varsity team. He achieved the title of winningest coach in Medina High School boys basketball history with 171 career wins. He and the athletes spoke about the core values that guide their program, like life being about relationships, serving others and using their platform to make an impact. American Red Cross local blood drives The American Red Cross is urging donors to make an appointment to give blood or platelets.
