Crunch Fitness officially open in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK — City officials and the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance recently came together to recognize Crunch Fitness' grand opening in the city with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Crunch Fitness has more than 3 million members worldwide across more than 500 gyms in 41 states and U.S. territories, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Portugal and Spain. "Crunch started in 1989 in a garage in New York," Brunswick's general manager Alex Jusdo said. "We started the 'no judgment' philosophy." The Brunswick location at 3289 Center Road is operated by franchisee Fit Fusion LLC. The franchisee has more than five locations across the country. "We are excited to bring this Crunch location to life in Brunswick and become an integral part of the fitness and business community here," Fit Fusion Vice President of Marketing Erik Johnson stated in a news release. The 24,000-square-foot facility in Brunswick is open 24 hours a day. Jusdo said there is something for everybody at the gym. Crunch in Brunswick offers the following: Cardio and strength-training equipment. High-Intensity Interval Training zone. Personal training. Group fitness studio where around 60 classes a week will be offered. Hot studio for classes like hot yoga and hot pilates. Relaxation and recovery area featuring massage chairs, cryotherapy and tanning beds. Locker rooms with showers and a sauna. Crunch had a soft opening about a month ago, and there are already around 2,500 members, Jusdo said. "From coming here, I hope people get a third place where they can come out, get their workout in and have a good time," he said. "Our top thing is to make sure we create a great member experience, so give that great customer service, take care of our members and have everybody on their own path of getting healthier."
