Business owners graduate from Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance's Business Builders program

BRUNSWICK — More than 20 local business owners were recognized for their efforts to advance their business during a graduation ceremony for the Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance's Business Builders program on Tuesday. The chamber launched its new six-month program this year, which aimed to give business owners the knowledge, skills and resources to be successful. Bimonthly sessions were held to cover topics like marketing, financial planning, policy development and operational strategies. One session a month was held in-person at Cuyahoga Community College's Brunswick campus. Titan Construction and Repair was a participant in the program and a sponsor, alongside Westfield Insurance. Jesse Andrade from Titan said being a participant in the program was "remarkable." "I got to meet everybody here on a deeper personal level," he said. "Every single class that we had, I have taken back to my business." Andrade said the program allowed him to see how other business owners operate, and he gained a lot from the experience. "Even some of the stuff I kind of already knew, I expanded on," he said. "Every instructor here made me accountable, and each and every one of you made me accountable. My business has thrived and grown from there." "Since then, it's just been a trajectory that I could never imagine." Chamber Executive Director Debbie Boehmke announced a 2.0 version of the program, which will run from November to May. She said it is limited to 25 businesses, and those who participated in the first program will be given the first opportunity to join.
