Steve Drehel

Steve Drehel, 88, of Lafayette Township, Ohio, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025, following an extend illness. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 3, 1937, to the late Frank and Vera (Boldenko) Drehel. A Veteran of the U.S. Army, Steve was a proud retired core operator at Ford Motor Company in Brookpark, Ohio, as he contributed over 40 years of dedicated service. Steve enjoyed listening and singing to bluegrass and gospel music. An avid fisherman in his spare time, Steve also loved gardening, woodworking, and yard work. Besides his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis 'Judy' Drehel; and several siblings, James Drehel, Anna Mangus, Frank 'Junior' Drehel, Nick Drehel, and Mary Drehel. Survivors include a son, Steve A. Drehel and a daughter, Anna Drehel, both of Lafayette Twp. Ohio; a sister-in-law, Phyllis A. Drehel of Middleport, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews also surviving. There will be no calling hours or services. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Carlson Funeral Home Medina chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
