Early release days for Medina City Schools At the Medina Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, updates were shared regarding the 2025-26 district calendar. As part of the recently approved negotiated agreement with the Medina City Teachers Association, three early release days have been added to the district calendar for staff professional development. The early release days are as follows: Sept. 25 Oct. 9 Jan. 15 Water main improvement project in Medina to impact traffic and parking This week, the contractor for the water main improvement project in Medina will continue with pavement restoration on W. Washington Street between S. Elmwood Avenue and S. Vine Street. W. Liberty Street and S. Elmwood Avenue traffic will be reopened fully assuming all work within the intersection of S. Elmwood Avenue and W. Washington Street is complete. W. Washington Street between S. Elmwood Avenue and S. Vine Street will be closed to through traffic while pavement restoration work continues. North and south traffic along S. Huntington Street through the intersection of W. Washington Street will be maintained at all times, unless pavement restoration is occurring directly within the intersection. Lodi Railroad Museum open house The Lodi Railroad Museum, at 204 Railroad St. in Lodi, will be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Railroad artifacts of the past will be available to view. Road closure in Westfield Township Kennard Road in Westfield Township will be closed from Monday through approximately Sept. 19 between Lake Road and Ryan Road for bridge deck replacement. The bridge lies between 5655 Kennard Road to the west and 5638 Kennard Road to the east.
