2025-26 school year starts for students in Medina County

Parents walked their children to school for the first day of the 2025-26 school year at Eliza Northrop Elementary School in Medina on Tuesday. Students attending Brunswick Schools, Medina Schools and the Medina County Career Center each had their first day of school on Tuesday. Buckeye will have a split start date for its students. Kids in grades one through 12 start school on Thursday. Preschool students start the school year on Monday, and all kindergartners will attend school on Aug. 27. Cloverleaf also has its students starting school across different dates. First through 12th grade students will be at school today, while the first day of kindergarten is on Friday. Preschool starts on Aug. 27 in the district. Highland students in preschool, elementary school, sixth and ninth grade started on Tuesday, and all students in the district will report to school today. Wadsworth Schools students in grades one through 12 and Grizzly Academy kindergartners will begin school on Thursday. Black River comes back to school at the latest date with all students returning to school on Aug. 26.
