Brunswick and Hinckley police blotter for Aug. 14

Brunswick police Wednesday, Aug. 6 8:45 a.m. — Center Ridge Road; while working with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, officers responded to North Ridgeville and arrested a man. He had a grand jury indictment out of Medina County Common Pleas Court for strangulation, and a Medina Municipal Court warrant for violation of a protection order. He was taken to the Medina County Jail without incident. 5:20 p.m. — Chargary Drive; a man had an outstanding felony warrant for gross sexual imposition. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Medina County Jail. Friday, Aug. 8 3:21 p.m. — 1000 block of Pearl Road; officers responded to Hotshots Bar and Grill for a report of an intoxicated woman demanding police because she was kicked out of the bar. She told officers that she called 911 to get officers to give her a ride home. She continued to act belligerent on the scene and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, intoxication and misuse of 911. Sunday, Aug. 10 12:43 a.m. — Center Road/Marks Road; a man had a warrant for failure to appear out of Medina Municipal Court and was transported to the Medina County Jail without incident. Monday, Aug. 11 4:42 p.m. — Pearl Road/Regal Avenue; a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle, and a passenger was found to have a warrant out of Medina Municipal Court. She was transported to the Medina County Jail. 9:44 p.m. — 3800 block of Center Road; officers responded to Meijer for a report of theft. A Meijer employee said a woman concealed approximately $90 worth of merchandise and walked past the point of sale. She was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on the scene. Hinckley police Wednesday, May 7 8:19 p.m. — 1000 block of Center Road; a vehicle was driving 61 mph in a 45-mph zone. The driver also had a suspended license and was issued citations. Tuesday, June 17 7:43 p.m. — Bellus Road; an assault was reported.
