Medina Needlework Guild's 42nd annual show The Medina Needlework Guild is holding its 42nd annual needle art show Sept. 13-14 at Brunswick Library. Judging will be in categories such as cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, knitting and crocheting, and breading and jewelry. Entries are $5 and open to the public. Junior entries for those younger than 18 and entries just for display are free. Creations should be brought to the library 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 11. NOACA to host virtual forum The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency is hosting "The Impact of Workforce Mobility on Business Growth, Development and Job Retention," an external affairs virtual forum, from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 18. The panel discussion will talk about the impact mobility has on workforce needs and retention and solutions to filling mobility gaps to connect workers to their workplace. Director of Workforce Innovation at Fund for Our Economic Future Bishara Addison will moderate the forum. Asian Lantern Festival at Cleveland zoo extended The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo announced that the Asian Lantern Festival is extended through Sept. 13. In addition, the zoo announced the return of Wild Ride, which is an event Sept. 14 in which guests of all ages can ride their bikes through the zoo after hours. Tickets for the Asian Lantern Festival are now on sale. The advanced discounted cost for zoo members is $24 or a four pack for $70. Advance non-member tickets are $27 or $80 for a four pack. Limited same-day tickets can be purchased online or at the box office for an increased cost, and the box office will close at 9:30 p.m. Drive-through tickets are $49 per vehicle for members and $59 per vehicle for non-members.
