Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Hinckley police blotter for Aug. 7

Brunswick police Friday, Aug. 1 4:44 p.m. — Kent Drive; a vehicle struck safety poles and was stuck on the broken pole. It was removed by Exurb Towing. Saturday, Aug. 2 1:41 p.m. — Center Road/Maxwell Boulevard; a vehicle failed to yield at the intersection while making a right-hand turn on red and was cited. Sunday, Aug. 3 3:06 p.m. — 600 block of Pearl Road; one vehicle rear-ended another. Monday, Aug. 4 9:30 a.m. — 3800 block of Center Road; Brunswick police responded to Meijer for a report of a shoplifting incident that occurred with two women. A traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the suspects. After a brief investigation, both parties admitted to the theft, and they returned $1,600 worth of merchandise. One woman was taken to the Medina County Sheriff's Office on felony theft charges. The other woman was released after being issued a theft citation and traffic citation. 11:15 a.m. — Pearl Road/Center Road; a traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with a driver and a passenger. The passenger provided a false name to police but was found to have a probation violation warrant out of the Medina County Sheriff's Office. She was issued a summons for falsification and transferred to the Medina County Sheriff's Office. Brunswick Hills police Wednesday, June 25 8:22 p.m. — Blackberry Circle; an Amazon package was stolen off a porch. 10:27 p.m. — South Carpenter Road; a vehicle struck two mailboxes and two garbage cans. Thursday, June 26 5:03 p.m. — Lockwood Lane; an individual reported harassment. Saturday, June 28 1:37 p.m. — Juniper Lane; dispatch advised police of a disturbance. Monday, June 30 11:37 a.m. — Barlow Drive; a man reported fraud on his credit card. Hinckley police Saturday, March 22 6:37 p.m. — Bellus Road; a woman reported three of her Trump flags were stolen from her front yard. Tuesday, May 13 2:52 p.m. — State Road; a bus driver reported a red light traffic violation. Friday, May 16 5:15 p.m. — Ridge Road; a driver was cited with fictitious and expired plates. Tuesday, June 10 2:55 p.m. — Heartland Circle; a woman reported potential identity theft.
