Medina resident receives award from Key Club International Jeffrey Eble, of Medina, was recently awarded the Marc H. Litwack Legacy of Leadership award by Key Club International. The award recognizes former Key Club members who exemplify extraordinary leadership qualities and have made significant contributions to their professions and communities. Eble was presented the award during the 2025 Key Club International Convention in Orlando, Florida, in July. He has more than 40 years of service to Key Club including 14 years as a faculty advisor and 21 years as the Ohio District Key Club administrator. "When the Litwack award was created, the criteria to qualify was intentionally difficult. We wanted recipients that ticked all the boxes: professional achievements, contributions to Key Club and undeniable community impact," Executive Director of Kiwanis Youth Programs Michelle Study-Campbell said. "Jeff Eble had it all and more. The positive influence on his community was clear and more than four decades of service and dedication to Key Club is no easy feat." Eble has earned Ohio Business Manager of the Year, Executive Director of the Year by the city of Medina and Medina Man of the Year. He is currently the Director of Business Services for Worthington City Schools. He is also a two-time George F. Hixson Fellowship recipient, which is awarded after making a generous donation to the Kiwanis Children's Fund, and he is a Medina Kiwanis Hall of Fame member. Eble is one of two Medina members to earn Kiwanis' lifetime membership for perpetuating the objectives of Kiwanis International. Wadsworth National Night Out Wadsworth police will be hosting a National Night Out event from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Wadsworth Kohl's at 1119 Williams Reserve Boulevard. There will be police and fire cruisers, nonprofit agencies and meet and greet opportunities for kids and community members. NOACA and city of Cleveland to host virtual public meeting for regional comprehensive climate action plan The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency and the city of Cleveland's Office of Sustainability and Climate Justice will host a virtual public meeting at noon on Aug. 21 as part of an educational awareness session for the regional comprehensive climate action plan. The public is invited to submit their input on the climate action plan through Aug. 31. The comprehensive climate action plan for the Cleveland-Elyria Metropolitan Statistical Area includes: A discussion of how the climate is already changing and the expected changes through 2050. A review of greenhouse gas emissions by sector and the measures the Metropolitan Statistical Area can take to lower those emissions by 2050.
