Barbara Ann Rakusan

Barbara Ann Rakusan passed from this life Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Barbara was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents, Walter and Rose Zander, on February 24, 1943. Barbara grew up alongside her siblings, Tom, Carol, and Joan. Barbara married the love of her life, Robert Rakusan, on June 9, 1962. The couple met as backyard neighbors and went on to spend 63 wonderful years together. Barbara spent her life as a homemaker to their children, Rob and Bonnie. Barbara enjoyed spending her time crocheting, needlepointing, and reading books. One of her favorite pastimes was taking trips to the Corning Glass Factory in New York. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Rose Zander; her siblings, Tom, Carol, and Joan Zander; and her daughter, Bonnie Stewart (Rakusan). She is survived by her husband, Robert Rakusan; her son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Tammy Rakusan; and her grandchildren, Lara Zavatchen, Stephanie Rakusan, Samantha Pische (Rakusan), and Shawn Rakusan. Barbara was surrounded at her death by her loving family.
