Brunswick, Brunswick Hills and Hinckley police blotter for July 31

Brunswick police Wednesday, July 23 9:57 a.m. — Buckingham Drive; police arrested a man on an outstanding Brunswick Mayor's Court warrant for failing to appear on a driving under suspension charge. He posted bond and was released. Thursday, July 24 5:03 p.m. — McCracken Road; police arrested a man on a failure to appear warrant out of Medina Municipal Court. He also had a warrant out of the Geauga County Sheriff's Office on a theft charge. He was transported to the Medina County Jail without incident. Saturday, July 26 12:27 a.m. — South Carpenter Road/Center Road; a woman drove into the parking lot and switched seats with the passenger. The passenger drove the vehicle out of the lot, and a traffic stop was conducted. Both the driver and passenger had suspended driver's licenses. One of the women also had warrants, so she was arrested and transported to the Medina County Jail. The other woman was issued traffic citations and released. Sunday, July 27 6:40 p.m. — North Carpenter Road; police received a notification from the FLOCK camera system regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located, and the driver was taken into custody. He had an outstanding felony warrant issued by the Cleveland Heights police department, and he was turned over to Cleveland Heights police. Monday, July 28 3:49 p.m. — 3800 block of Center Road; officers were dispatched to investigate a shoplifting incident at Meijer. A man admitted to stealing items from Meijer, with the stolen goods valued at approximately $2,000. He was transported to the Medina County Jail and charged with felony theft. Brunswick Hills police Thursday, June 19 4:45 p.m. — Fawn Haven Drive; a man reported telecommunications harassment. Friday, June 20 11:48 a.m. — 900 block of Pearl Road; a man had three open warrants entered with caution for being armed and dangerous. An investigation is pending. Saturday, June 21 9:51 p.m. — Interstate 71; a man threatened to set another car on fire. The State Highway Patrol detained the man, and he began to fight officers. He was being transported to the Medina County Jail, and he began aggressively banging his head on the cruiser window. He was then transported to Brunswick Cleveland Clinic. Tuesday, June 24 2:11 p.m. — Substation Road; an individual reported a theft. Hinckley police Friday, May 9 3:45 p.m. — Ridgemont Trail; a man was issued a citation for speed and no operator's license. He also had an active warrant. 6:59 p.m. — Walden Reserve Boulevard; a man reported a firearm was stolen from his residence. Sunday, May 11 9:09 a.m. — State Road; a criminal mischief complaint was made. 11:20 p.m. — River Road; a missing juvenile was reported.
