Brunswick police blotter for July 3

Brunswick police Wednesday, June 25 9:10 a.m. — Manitoulin Pike; a resident reported finding a BMX-style bicycle in her yard. 1:22 p.m. — Weymouth Road; a woman turned in a wallet she found. 4:10 p.m. — 3800 block of Center Road; a woman was apprehended by Meijer asset protection for the theft of approximately $50 worth of various merchandise. She was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft and traffic citations for driving under suspension and no operator's license into Brunswick Mayor's Court. Thursday, June 26 3:54 a.m. — Salem Lane/Foxborough Drive; a suspicious vehicle was reported to the police, and a man was found to be passed out in the driver's seat who was under the influence of alcohol. He was also in possession of an opened container of alcohol and burnt marijuana. He was arrested, refused to provide a breath sample and was issued citations into Brunswick Mayor's Court. 1:32 p.m. — Independence Drive; the Medina County Sheriff's Office had a woman in their jail. She had an active warrant through Brunswick Mayor's Court for failing to appear on multiple traffic offenses. A warrant was completed and forwarded to the jail. 7:59 p.m. — 1700 block of Pearl Road; an employee from KDK Auto reported the theft of a key fob from a vehicle in the lot. Saturday, June 28 1:59 a.m. — Berkshire Drive/Laurel Road; a traffic stop was attempted on a vehicle for speeding, and the vehicle owner fled into a residence. He was uncooperative and refused to exit the residence. The vehicle was towed for investigative purposes. 4:14 p.m. — Fillmore Drive; a woman reported children threw eggs at her driveway, house and garage. Sunday, June 29 8:44 p.m. — Royalton Road; Brunswick police took custody of a man who was in the custody of Brook Park police. Tuesday, July 1 12:09 a.m. — 4000 block of Center Road; a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for equipment violations. The operator was found to have a suspended driver's license and be in possession of improperly packaged marijuana. The operator was issued citations into Brunswick Mayor's Court and released. 10:25 a.m. — Junior Parkway; Brunswick police Medina County Municipal Court bailiff with serving a notice to vacate order.
