Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and Medina Hospital to hold town hall The Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and Cleveland Clinic - Medina Hospital will have a community town hall from 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Medina Hospital in conference rooms 3 and 4. Participants should use entrance A in the rear of the hospital building. The town hall will explore the intersection of hunger and health in which they will discuss the importance of nutrition for holistic health, how to access food resources and how to advocate for one's health and the health of the community. Jane Cole worked at the Root Company from 1869 to 1911, and she wrote "Reminiscence of Forty-One Years of Factory Life" about her experiences rising from stock clerk to Root's assistant. Cole's great-grandnephew Will Foote will present stories and photos of her life and times in Medina and at Root. Refreshments will be served. Parking and restrooms are accessible to guests. Tickets are $20 by check to "WPS" or at weymouthpreservationsociety.com. Depot Museum open house The Depot Museum will have its June open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. It is at 6615 Center Road in Valley City. The museum has cemetery records, period maps, old property tax records and church histories. Lodi Railroad Museum monthly open house The Lodi Railroad Museum at 204 Railroad St. will have its monthly open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. There are many antiques, memorabilia and paintings from a local artist. It is a free event. Road closure Wall Road in Wadsworth Township will be closed from Monday through Sept. 21 between Wadsworth Road and Newcomer Road.
