Title office reopens in Brunswick in new location

BRUNSWICK — The Northern Medina County Chamber Alliance celebrated the title office reopening in Brunswick with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday. Title offices are one responsibility of the Medina County Clerk of Courts. Clerk of Courts Dave Wadsworth said the office handles nonland titles for boats, cars, motorcycles and golf carts, and the office has a high volume of passport applications. There are two other title offices in the county in Medina and Wadsworth. He said Brunswick's title office was originally in the city's town center, but the landlord ended the lease. Therefore, the Medina County commissioners authorized advertising for proposals for a new title office in Brunswick in August. Wadsworth said the new location at 2875 Center Road is a great spot because of the nearby dealerships and the easy access to I-71. "This is the best location in the county for the title bureau," Medina County Commissioner Steve Hambley said. "It's all about proximity. It's all about closeness to the people that use it, and this is one of the busiest offices you have." Wadsworth said the county is also signing a lease and moving Wadsworth's title office to a different part of the city. "The problem with my current office is it's nice, but it's too small," he said. "We're growing. Wadsworth is growing, and all the related townships are growing." Wadsworth emphasized how important customer service is at his offices. "I've been here nearly 13 years in this position, and from day one, I heard from customers how great my employees are," he said. "They follow the golden rule: Customer service is king."
