Culver's officially opens location in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK — Brunswick residents can now order ButterBurgers, cheese curds and frozen custard from Culver's within the city. Culver's celebrated its grand opening in Brunswick on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. "I would describe (Culver's) as going to your family's house," franchise owner Michael Green said. "We want to invite people in like they're family, and we want to give them a good experience. At the end of the day, we serve food, but it really is about the guests." Green started working for Culver's in 2015 as a team member and worked his way up the management system to finally meet his goal of becoming an owner. "I'm just ecstatic," he said. "I never thought I'd be where I am today, so I'm excited to keep building on what we have." Culver's has a mentee process in which employees learn the ins and outs of the business, Green said. Opportunity within the mentee process is the reason he has stuck with Culver's throughout his career. "I like having the ability to now become a mentor, so that way I can bring someone else up the way that I was brought up," he said. Brunswick was on his radar for a while as a potential place to open a Culver's location, Green said. "I made a note section in 2018 of cities that I liked, and Brunswick was one of them," he said. "The community and everything that's going on here, we just thought that it'd be a perfect fit for Culver's." The Brunswick location at 3725 Center Road had a soft opening on May 5, and Green said the response has been amazing so far. "Everyone, from what I've experienced, has really enjoyed it," he said. "We're making sure that even though it's busy, everyone is just staying calm. We're making sure that the guests are getting taken care of and that the team doesn't feel overwhelmed."
