Cheryl Ann Shumaker (September 17, 1949 - May 9, 2025)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl Ann Shumaker Friday, May 9, 2025, in Pineville, North Carolina. A devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, and cherished friend, Cheryl lived a life filled with love, resilience, and humor. Married for nearly 56 years to her soulmate, Dan, their enduring bond was a model of laughter and devotion. Cheryl balanced work and family with grace, creating a warm home filled with homemade meals, vibrant gardens, and countless creative touches. She cherished singing, dancing, puzzles, and the simple joys of time spent by the pool or beach. A dedicated volunteer, Cheryl supported Habitat for Humanity and helped establish Medina County's first ReStore. Her sharp mind, quick wit, and kind heart brought light to every gathering. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, at 10:45 a.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Rd, Seville, Ohio. A Burial Ceremony will follow at 12:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, Ohio, immediately following the burial, a lunch will be held back at the church.
