Ruth H. Brenner

Ruth H. Brenner (nee: Chadderton), 94, of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at The Preserve at Mentor Ridge. She was born February 11, 1931 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to the late Harry and Sarah Chadderton. Ruth was a devoted wife, amazing mother, adored sister, cherished daughter, and respected grandmother/great-grandmother. She was an accomplished realtor for over 40 years, committed to finding her clients their perfect homes. Ruth was a constant supporter of Medina, Ohio, working tirelessly on community endeavors including Welcome Wagon, serving on the Architectural Committee in Medina to save and renovate the iconic Gazebo in the town square as well as leading the fundraising efforts to build a new church as a Trustee to the Medina United Methodist Church. Ruth will forever be known as an avid animal lover and supporter. She could often be found walking her Siberian Husky, Raz, daily, whether snowstorms or sunshine were forecasted. Ruth's last years of life were spent in her new home at The Preserve at Mentor Ridge in Mentor, Ohio, built for her by her loving son, Chad. She loved the kind and compassionate caregivers at The Preserve, whom she came to think of as family. Survivors include her children, Robert Chad (Carol) Brenner, Kim (Peter) George and Brad Brenner; grandchildren, Reed (Zada) Brenner, Ryan Brenner, Rachelle (Nik) Kanazirev, Peter (Ashley) George, Matthew George, Kyle Brenner and Cort Brenner; great-grandchildren, Barrett, Ava and Clara Brenner and Ryan George; brother, Paul Chadderton; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends. Preceding Ruth in death are her husband, Robert C. Brenner; grandson, Blaine Brenner; siblings, Edward Chadderton, Harry J. Chadderton, Hilda Brown, Earl Chadderton and Shirley Gearhart; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Chadderton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
