Notes: Carly and Wyatt Teller weigh in on hostile Steelers crowd

Carly Teller, wife of right guard Wyatt, had a bad experience while sitting in the stands at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday during the Browns' 27-14 loss to the Steelers.She was so bothered she took to social media to vent."The fans in Pittsburgh today were so blatantly disrespectful to me and the Browns girls," she posted on X. "I've never felt so attacked by people who I literally did nothing to. "You can say whatever you want. You've got to understand when you're in a hostile environment like that what you're going to get. This rivalry goes back way too long to be like, 'Oh, you're just the wife. They were so kind. They showed me where everything was. Even though the game was tight, they didn't talk,'" he said. "It doesn't matter. Wherever she's at I pray for her protection, but even if she's at the house."INJURY REPORTCornerback Greg Newsome II won't play Sunday against the Chiefs after reinjuring his hamstring late in the fourth quarter against the Steelers."He'll miss time, but I'm not sure exactly how long," coach Kevin Stefanski said.Nick Chubb selected Browns' Ed Block Courage Award recipientThe Browns have four games left, so if Newsome goes on injured reserve, he'll be out the rest of the season. Stefanski said it's the same hamstring that was surgically repaired and caused Newsome to miss training camp.Newsome has played all 13 games, with three starts, and has an interception and five passes defensed.Cameron Mitchell will fill in for Newsome as the nickelback.** Rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. (knee) is eligible to be activated from IR after missing four games and avoiding surgery. Stefanski said the organization will decide in the next couple of days if Hall will return to practice this week.** Receiver Cedric Tillman remained in the concussion protocol. He was injured Nov. 21 in the first meeting with the Steelers.** Special teamer Mike Ford Jr. was in the concussion protocol after leaving the game Sunday.** Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck), who's not expected to play again this season, was officially ruled out for the Chiefs game. He was injured Oct. 27 against the Ravens."I'm not going to go past this week and I'll just obviously update you guys as we get more information," Stefanski said. "He's making sure that he is taking care of himself, getting all the information he can get. He's been in and out of the building."SIDE BY SIDEStefanski reiterated his support for Dustin Hopkins when asked if the team would add a kicker to the practice squad. Hopkins missed two field goals Sunday and has missed six of his last nine attempts."We will work through this with Dustin," Stefanski said. "This is something that I know he can get through. We'll get through it together."NOW MATTERSAt 3-10 and out of playoff contention, Teller doesn't want to see the Browns make the final four games about evaluating young players."I feel like we all have to add plays to our resume," he said. "So that'd be upsetting just from a player mindset if you're sitting players that have been starters all year for the hope of next year, because you still have games.
