Encompass Christian Counseling opens office at Medina Nazarene Church Encompass Christian Counseling announced a partnership with Medina Nazarene Church. The collaboration includes space for a counseling office in the church at 6901 Wooster Pike in Medina. Licensed professional therapy services started being offered on Thursday, and it may be used by church members and the general public. Major health insurance plans will be accepted. Medicaid and a sliding fee scale are available to clients who qualify. "The people of our community will benefit greatly from the mental health support that they bring," the Rev. Pete Ryder said. "We're glad to be able to offer this service here in Medina." Katiera Pfeister will be the onsite therapist providing counseling services for all ages and life stages. She is a licensed professional counselor, and counseling will be by appointment only. "The Medina Nazarene Church team has been incredibly supportive, and Katiera will be a compassionate resource to this ministry," said Rebecca Ryder, regional director of Encompass. Music at Bath concert series continues The Music at Bath concert series will continue with a performance by the reggae band Umojah Nation. The concert will take place at 7 p.m. today in the church's fellowship hall at 3980 W. Bath Road in Akron. The free event is for all ages. The venue is physically accessible, and there is ample parking. Food distribution at Liverpool Township church St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church at 1824 Station Road in Liverpool Township will have a drive thru food distribution behind the white house from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday. The food distribution is held on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month.
