John G. Williams IV

John G. Williams IV, 82, of Wadsworth, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024. John was born in Wadsworth, Ohio July 26, 1942 to the late Glenn J. and Helen (Yergin) Williams. John enjoyed being outside, shooting his gun, bowling, spending time with family and he was an avid reader. He graduated June 1961 from Wadsworth High School. John was in the High School marching band and played trombone. After graduating he proudly served in the US Marines. John worked at numerous jobs before working for Cleveland Pneumatic, where he retired in the mid 2000's. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Gerald W. Hagenbaugh. Survived by sister, Midge A. Hagenbaugh (Williams); nephew, Mark W. (Christy) Hagenbaugh; nephew, Jeffery L. Hagenbaugh; niece, Maryann (Jerry) Toney; and many great-nieces and nephews. The family request memorial contributions may be made to the Wadsworth Salvation Army, Heaven of Rest, or the Wadsworth United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Hilliard Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St. Wadsworth, Ohio where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
