Notes: Browns could have options at tackle vs. Giants with Jedrick Wills Jr., Jack Conklin listed as questionable

BEREA — The Browns could have a full complement of tackles available Sunday vs. the Giants for the first time since the 2023 opener.If they do, the coaches will have a couple of decisions to make.Dawand Jones (knee) will play after missing practice Wednesday, and Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin were listed as questionable Friday on the injury report.Myles Garrett reveals both feet are in pain, but says feels good enough to 'make a difference' vs. GiantsCoach Kevin Stefanski said he wants to see how the next couple of days go before making final determinations."You have to see how guys come through tomorrow, how they feel tomorrow after a full week's worth of practice," Stefanski said. He had surgery in December to repair a torn MCL, returned to practice Sept. 4 and was ruled out the first two games.If Wills is inactive or doesn't start, James Hudson III could make his third straight start at left tackle, or Conklin could step in if he's active.Amari Cooper 'motivated' by poor start, back to 'attacking' practice like a gameConklin has been out since leaving last year's opener with torn anterior cruciate, medial collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments and a torn meniscus. He returned to practice Aug. 27 and was inactive the first two games after being listed as questionable. He was a full participant in practice this week for the first time.If everyone is active and Wills starts, the decision would be Jones or Conklin at right tackle. Jones was a fourth-round pick in 2023, replaced Conklin in Week 1 and looked good until a torn MCL ended his season in December.Conklin, 30, is a two-time All-Pro but had major injuries in 2021 and 2023."We'd have to wait to make a determination," Stefanski said when asked if Jones would start regardless.Zone Coverage Podcast"It's a good decision to have to make however that plays out," line coach Andy Dickerson said.The coaches could go with a rotation at one or both tackle spots."We have options," Stefanski said. Running back Pierre Strong Jr. (hamstring) was also ruled out.** Cornerback Denzel Ward (shoulder/toe) will play. The question is: How much?He was limited to 11 snaps last week against the Jaguars by the shoulder injury, and the toe was added to the injury report Friday. He was limited all week in practice."I'm hopeful," Stefanski said of Ward playing more against the Giants. "He's worked very hard to get out there and now we just got to go play."** The Giants added outstanding outside linebacker Brian Burns (groin) to the injury report.
