Terry Edwin Indoe Terry Edwin Indoe, known affectionately as 'TI,' passed away Monday, September 9, 2024, at 82, in Sandisfield, Massachusetts. Born September 22, 1941, Terry was a true jack of all trades. When he put his mind to something, there was no stopping him. He was incredibly talented and a hard worker who accepted nothing less than perfection. He had a great sense of humor and could be a lot of fun unless, of course, you ticked him off and got the infamous 'eyebrow.' Terry was a 1964 graduate of Buckeye High School and went on to lead a successful career. He launched his first business, T.I. Interiors, in the early seventies, specializing in wallpapering homes and businesses throughout northeastern Ohio. In 1982, alongside his wife, Aleen, he opened the Village Hair Parlor, which he helped manage until he semi-retired and transitioned to part-time work at Home Depot and running an antique shop from their home in Valley City. Terry loved being involved in his community and regularly attended Trustee meetings. For years, he was an active member of the Valley City Historical Society, contributing to the epic Bicentennial Celebration of 1976 and creating the museum in the Depot. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce and helped with the annual Steak Roast and Frog Jump, serving as a grill master and Chamber Dance where he loved dancing all evening with Aleen. Terry's hobbies were as varied as his skills. He had a passion for refinishing furniture, gardening, antiquing, mowing the lawn, tending his flowerbeds, making handmade teddy bears, baking the 'most amazing cookies ever' for his grandkids, and growing orchids, which he mastered in retirement. Terry is survived by his cherished wife of 59 years, Aleen; children, Craig (Cindy) Indoe, Christine Benedict, and Kevin (Chapin) Fish; grandchildren, Aaron Indoe, Bethany (Richard) Jeffery, Bryan Benedict, Ella Fish, Nate Fish, and Soren Fish; great-grandchild, Dawson Jeffery; cousins, Jane (Bill) Corbus, and Sue (Anthony) Kali; niece, Molly (Robert) Diaz; great-nephew, Bronson; and his sweet dog, Ashly; as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Harry Indoe; brothers, John, and Richard Indoe; sister, Peggy Rees; and aunt, Velma 'Auntie Babe' McFadden. The family is so grateful for Terry's wonderful care from the doctors, nurses, and staff at Berkshire Health Systems, Baystate Medical Center, and Hospice Care in the Berkshires. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Valley City, Ohio, Saturday, October 5, 2024, with a light luncheon following. Visitation with the family will begin at 9 a.m.
