In Motion Wellness Studio in Brunswick celebrates one year anniversary with a ribbon-cutting

BRUNSWICK — In Motion Wellness Studio celebrated its first year in business in Brunswick with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday. Brandon Fielding and Matt Rami are two of the four co-owners of In Motion at 3702 Center Road. They are part of the same ownership group that operates Anytime Fitness in the same plaza. An important part of a fitness plan is recovery, so they wanted to bring a recovery-based business nearby their gym in Brunswick, Fielding said. In Motion helps clients through custom assisted stretches, which aim to reduce pain, improve posture and increase their range of motion. "We had so many members over the years that had shoulder pain or had hip pain or knee pain that was stopping them from hitting their overall fitness goals," Rami said. Fielding was first introduced to the stretching studio because he had back pain. He said another co-owner suggested he go to an In Motion in South Carolina because there were not any locations in Ohio yet. "After a couple of sessions, I felt amazing," he said. "We totally believed in the product and what was going on there and helping people. We saw it firsthand." The trip to South Carolina happened in May 2023, and by July 2023, they opened a location in Brunswick, Fielding said. Brunswick's location has four employees, and they had nearly 400 members at their height. "It's something that people really like, and they're really interested in," he said. "We're still trying to refine our craft and make sure we're providing the best service to everybody." In Motion has 30- and 60-minute sessions, which involve stretching and a Theragun massage. Rami said the experience should be both high-energy and enjoyable. "It should be an experience like no other," he said. "It should be relaxing yet uplifting at the same time, and you should leave without any aches and pains that you might have had before."
