Lloyd Eugene Wiles

Lloyd Eugene Wiles, 98, of Medina, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024. He was born to Clayton D. and Ruth H. (nee Burkett) Wiles on April 10, 1926, in Medina, Ohio. Lloyd graduated from Seville High School and proudly served his Country in WWII as an U.S. Army Staff Sgt., 286 Joint Signal Company. He retired after 32 years from AT&T as a Service Manager, owned and operated Wiles Tree Farm, and was a conference leader for Palmer/Paulson consulting in Skokie, Illinois. Lloyd was an avid gardener, golfer, and Cleveland baseball fan. He was a founding member of Elder of Medina Presbyterian Church. Lloyd is survived by his son, David Wiles; his daughters, Dr. Kathleen Wiles, and Karen (Edward) Crockett; and his five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Gerry L. (nee Davis) Wiles; his parents; his sister, Virginia Grice; and his brothers, Vernon and Norman Wiles. Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, Ohio, followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.
