Mary Frances Craig

Mary Frances Craig, 96, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Brunswick Pointe Transitional Care. Mary was born March 3, 1928, in Spencer, West Virginia, to Dennis and Pruda (Carpenter) Pursley. She married her sweetheart, James W. Craig on January 9, 1954. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio shortly after their marriage. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed watching game shows, and was an amazing cook. She and James loved to travel and visited 49 of the 50 states. Mary enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a woman of strong faith and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church in Brunswick. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James in 2006; and brother, Paul Pursley. Mary will be deeply missed by her children, Carolyn Craig-Gerk and Dan (Jane) Craig; grandchildren, Kyle Gerk, Courtney (Eric Taylor) Gerk, Drew Craig, and Danielle Craig; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Taylor. Private services were held. Care for Mary was entrusted to Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Brunswick. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Brunswick Pointe Transitional Care and Bella Care Hospice.
