Floyd C. Meers Jr.

Floyd C. Meers Jr., 75, affectionately known as Tim, of Wooster, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, after battling a long-term illness. Born June 11, 1948, to Floyd C. and Eliza M. Meers (nee Horsley), Tim leaves a legacy of love and devotion to family. Tim is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia Meers (nee Stover), five adopted children, Tim (Nilda) Meers, Lisa (Matt) Shane, Mark Meers, Amanda Thomas, Jaimee Meers, and foster daughter Tonya (Bill) House. His unwavering commitment to family and his role as a foster parent exemplified his compassionate spirit. As a proud veteran, Tim served honorably in the U.S. Army for two years. His later role as a co-founder of Neuman Foods, a business that served the community for 40 years, is a testament to his dedication. We are grateful for his service to both the military and local business. Active in his community, Tim supported organizations such as 4H and Black River FFA, sharing his passion for agriculture and animal husbandry. He enjoyed simple pleasures like watching sports, tending to his land, and annual fishing trips with his brothers. Tim is preceded in death by his brother, Denny (Lisa) Meers. Tim is survived by brothers, Gary (Dolly) Meers, Kevin (Virginia) Meers; wife, Rebecca Meers (nee Seal), step-daughter, Kayla Henderson; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Tim's vibrant personality and love for life will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Canton Baptist Activities Building, 515 Whipple Avenue NW, Canton, across the street from the church. Officiated by Pastor Jake. Memorial starting at 5:30 p.m., light fare and dessert to follow.
