Nancy Elizabeth Coudret

Nancy Elizabeth (Storm) Coudret, born December 21, 1947, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024. A mother, wife, sister, grandmother and daughter, Nancy prioritized these roles above all. When it came to family, nothing came before their needs. Whether supporting her children and grandchildren at various events, cooking excessively large meals, or providing timely and needed advice, Nancy was always there for her loved ones. On the occasion when mom worked outside of the home, it was always at night so that she could ensure that she saw the kids off to school each day. Around the kitchen table or around a campfire, nothing brought her more comfort than being surrounded by her family. Nancy was born, raised and lived in Chatham, Ohio her entire life. First living in an old blacksmith shop on the edge of town, then building the house in which she raised five children with the man who swept her off her feet in 1968, Carl 'Butch' Coudret. There, Nancy and Butch created a safe harbor for their children and grandchildren for the rest of her life. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo 'Frank' Storm and Mary Catherine (Holden) Storm; and two brothers, Charles F. Storm and Ronald J. Storm. She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Carl 'Butch' Coudret; five children, Timothy (Christina) Coudret, Michael (Tara) Coudret, Todd (Lisa) Coudret, Dana Coudret, and Liane (Mark) Collyer; and her brother, John Storm. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Austin Coudret, Jewels Coudret, Brandon Coudret, Reagan Collyer, Riley Collyer, Mark Collyer, Jr., and Beatrice Collyer. There will be private burial handled by Parker and Son Funeral Homes, followed by a Celebration of Life at a future date.
