David J. 'Mr. Dave' Bryenton

David Bryenton, 89, of Medina, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 26, 2023, with his daughter by his side. He was born in Lodi, Ohio on June 30, 1934, to John and Esther (Reutter) Bryenton. David worked on the family farm until joining the U.S. Army in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart, Beatrice (Bea Cronk) Bryenton on April 16, 1955. They were married 66 years until Bea's passing in 2021. He worked in the automobile retail business for 33 years. Dave is survived by his daughters, Susan Renee (Howard) Bryenton and Pamela Jo Schott (Don) Starett of Medina; son, John Otis (Dee Ann) Bryenton of Owensboro, Kentucky; granddaughters, Chelsea Schott of Paris, Kentucky and Erica Schott of Seville; great-granddaughter, Sandra Beatrice Lyon; and great-grandson, Jackson David Lyon, who was his pride and joy. Also surviving is his brother, Ron (Marion) Bryenton of Medina. Preceding him in death are his beloved wife, Beatrice; parents, John and Esther Bryenton; in-laws, Otis and Phyllis Cronk; brother-in-law, George Cronk; and grandson, Andrew (at birth). Per David's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation and calling hours will be held in York United Methodist Church, 6566 Norwalk Road, Medina, Ohio, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024, with the funeral service to follow at 4:30 p.m. in the church with Pastor Lisa Kropinak officiating. A private burial will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to York Methodist Church.
