Carolyn J. Close

Carolyn J. Close, 69, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was born May 19, 1954, to Myron and Emogene (nee Thompson) Adams in Raleigh, North Carolina. Carolyn was a Girl Scout Leader and Trainer. She enjoyed crafting, traveling and being involved at Christ Church in Columbia Station. She will be missed by all who knew her. Left to celebrate Carolyn's life are her children, Meghan Close and Jessica (Alex) Bowers; her grandchildren, AJ and Ben; nieces and nephews, Alicia, Jeremy, Jason (Jess), Stephanie, Matthew and Brittany; her sister-in-law, Shelley (Jamie Adams, deceased) Adams; her sister-in-law, Sue (Phil) Bade; her brother-in-law, Alan (Vicky) Close; her brother-in-law, Gary (Susie) Close; and many extended family and friends. Carolyn is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert in 2019; and her parents. Family will welcome friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick, Ohio. A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 with one hour prior visitation, at Christ Church, 23080 Royalton Rd, Columbia Station, Ohio 44028. Interment to follow at Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Carolyn's honor to Girl Scouts of NE Ohio ~or~ GSNEO.org.
