Kiwanis Club carolers to visit restaurants On Friday, dozens of Santas and elves will carol at Medina restaurants to raise money for a service project put on by the Kiwanis Club of Medina. The proceeds will go toward purchasing coats, boots, hats, gloves and more for Medina students. Carolers have donated or secured pledges to participate in the event. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Medina, local high school Key Club members and community volunteers will sing holiday carols in return for donations. The carolers will visit the following establishments 6-9 p.m.: Buehler's River Styx Mill Restaurant Tres Potrillos Fiesta Jalapenos Quaker Steak Johnny Malloy's Johnny J's P.J. Marley's Sully's Thyme 2 Dominic's/JoJo's Buffalo Wild Wings Akronym Donations are being accepted at medinakiwanis.org as well as in person at each restaurant that night. State Road in Medina from 5-9 p.m. Friday. Guests can visit the letters to Santa station, get a professional family portrait by Abby Nixon Photography and create ornaments. Every visitor can try hot cocoa and a variety of cookies. "At Twine Design, we are really focusing on building a community of moms and primary caregivers of young children," Twine Design owner Julia Foster said. "I have found that at the Play Grounds and with owner Krissa, so we knew it was the perfect partnership to keep building a community through events." There will be timed-appointments with Santa, and guests are welcome to use their own cameras to capture the moment. The event will support "Ornaments 4 Orphans." Ongoing Medina County District Library events Stop by all Medina County District Library locations for letters to Santa, reindeer food and Elf on the Shelf until Dec. 22. Donate new books and pajamas at any MCDL location until Dec. 29. Volunteers will package pajamas with a book, and then distribute to children in Medina County.
