INGLEWOOD, Calif. — Rams coach Sean McVay was getting a ride through the tunnel outside the locker rooms when the luxury SUV pulled alongside Browns defensive end Myles Garrett."Hey, I want you to know that you ruined my f—— week just worrying about you, all right?" McVay said, leaning toward the open window.Rams 36, Browns 19: Joe Flacco plays well, but lone INT proves costly in 2nd straight lossGarrett, who reached in to shake hands, didn't ruin the game for the Rams on Sunday in their 36-19 win. He was held without a sack for the second straight week and fourth time in 12 games. For the first time, he didn't register a tackle or stat.Garrett's left shoulder was injured last week in the loss to the Broncos and he left Denver with the arm in a sling. He returned to practice Friday, was a full participant and didn't blame the shoulder for his lack of productivity vs. the Rams, although he wasn't able to finish a couple of chances for tackles for loss."It didn't affect me that much," Garrett said. "They just had a great game plan for us upfront. Matthew Stafford wasn't sacked and hit only twice while throwing for 279 yards and three touchdowns."He stays in that little circle, 6, 7 yards deep or steps up from 8 and gets into that spot," Garrett said. "It's hard unless you get a lot of interior pressure or you send some people through the middle, but the way they were moving upfront as well, credit to them. Sliding, doubling, keeping us off-balance. That allowed them to have success."Late interception aside, Joe Flacco makes strong case to keep starting jobAfter the game last week, Broncos coach Sean Payton talked about keying on Garrett to keep him contained. That's a theme and can wear on a pass rusher."Every team's going to do that and it's not just about me," Garrett said. "We all have to find a way to win. When the attention's on me, we have to find a way to get other guys singled up or the opportunity to get a quick one-on-one or a free rush, and it's not about me getting my stats or making plays as long as we make plays as the defense and put our offensive position to win. He was sandwiched by two defenders after failing to catch a third-down pass and checked in the medical tent before walking slowly to the locker room.He had three catches for 34 yards, bringing his season totals to 50 for 799 yards and two touchdowns."Disappointed for Amari," Stefanski said. He is a really good player."FUMING MADStefanski doesn't usually criticize the officials publicly but couldn't help it after center Ethan Pocic was called for a false start for moving the ball forward, according to the referee.It also happened last week, and this time took the Browns from third-and-1 to third-and-5 as they trailed by eight with less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter. Flacco threw two incompletions, the Rams got the ball on a short field and put the game out of reach with a touchdown."What's going on right now is the Eagles sneak," Stefanski said of the Brotherly Shove. "They're very aware and alert to teams moving the ball forward in short yardage. We weren't sneaking the ball so there was no advantage to us moving the ball. Ethan doesn't do that. He addresses the ball like he always does."We're not teaching that. We don't care about the 4 inches. So it's frustrating. That's part of the game that you hope to play clean and those are big moments, so I'll try and get an answer on that."Stefanski had a failed challenge soon after and used the time to yell at the officials about the false start.FOR A GOOD CAUSEMore than 30 Browns participated in the My Cause My Cleats campaign, wearing specially designed shoes to bring attention to an organization.Tight end David Njoku supported the American Burn Association after sustaining burns to his face and hand in a firepit accident. He made a donation to the non-profit and started a merchandise line to bring awareness to the cause."I've experienced firsthand how life can change in an instant due to a burn injury," Njoku said. "I aim to leverage my platform to raise awareness about this all-too-common issue. Collaborating with the American Burn Association, my goal is to offer resources and support to fellow burn survivors and their families."Stefanski went with Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio. Harris was limited in practice Thursday and Friday with a knee injury.The Browns ruled out quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion), cornerback Denzel Ward (shoulder) and receiver Marquise Goodwin (concussion) on Friday.The other inactives were healthy scratches: rookie defensive tackle Siaki Ika, rookie defensive end Isaiah McGuire, rookie center Luke Wypler and tackle Leroy Watson IV.With Ward out, Martin Emerson Jr. and Greg Newsome II started and Mike Ford Jr. was the third corner.
