Dorothy 'Dottie' Perkins

Dorothy 'Dottie' Perkins, 96, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born June 19, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Luther and Grace (nee Meyers) Kelly. She was a member of the Medina United Methodist Church for 55 years and an over 40-year member of the Rebecca Circle. Dottie was an avid golfer, playing in various leagues, and even had a hole-in-one. She retired from golfing at the age of 90. She enjoyed volunteering for many years at Medina General Hospital and was a past member of the Eastern Star. Dottie is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Scott) Febus and Carol (Ron) Wilson; cherished grandchildren, Matt Febus, Carrie Febus, Ryan (Kathleen) Wilson, and Megan Wilson; her adored great-grandchildren, Blake and Kailee Febus, Braden Macauda, and Grace Wilson; and her sister-in-law, Jane Perkins. Dottie was a devoted wife to Richard 'Dick' E. Perkins for 50 years. He passed away in 1997. Her twin brother, Donald Kelly also precedes her. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2023 in Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Dick in Spring Grove Cemetery.
